This is the most impassioned review I've ever written, and they've absolutely earned it.I originally chose The Bettersworth Law Firm because of their many five-star reviews. What started as a simple, uncontested divorce turned into a year-long, high-conflict battle-beginning with a falsified ex-parte protective order. In the end, I walked away with 50/50 custody, more than half my estate, and true confidence in my future.Emily Barkdull was incredible from day one. I chose James off of his Google reviews and was not disappointed. He helped me through a multi-year complicated divorce that involved three businesses, commercial properties, and was extremely contentious. James was very responsive. He expertly navigated the complexities of a divorce as a business owner. He was not cheap but it was worth it. I feel like his greatest strength is actually at trial. James came well-prepared knew the law and was prepared for every possibility. I would highly recommend him. His staff is also very friendly. I have dealt with other lawyers in New Braunfels and James is unique in his passion about what he does.
