Two San Antonio Car Accidents Result in Serious Injuries
Comal County car and truck wrecks happen for many different reasons, among them distracted driving, driver fatigue, poor road conditions, and drunk driving. Regardless of the exact nature of their negligence, when someone’s carelessness or poor choice causes an accident that injures or kills another person, they are liable for paying monetary damages to the parties who suffered harm. However, it’s not always easy for those who deserve this compensation to receive it. First, fault must be established, and sometimes, there are multiple parties who can be held liable (such as a truck driver and a trucking company, or the manufacturer of a faulty automobile part.) An experienced San Antonio car wreck attorney can handle all of the details so that car and truck accident victims canconcentrate on rest and recovery.
Interstate 35 a Hotspot for Texas Car Accidents
According to the Texas Department of Transportation (DOT), traffic on Interstate 35 between Laredo to San Antonio will increase to 234,000 vehicles per day by 2030. This stretch of road is already the scene of numerous car and truck accidents – in part because semi-trucks constitute nearly half of its traffic. As the number of vehicles traveling on I-35 continues to increase, it’s very likely that the number of auto accidents on I-35 will also to rise.
On March 7, a New Braunfels man was critically injured in an auto accident on Business 35. As reported by KNGB, the man was traveling east on Bus. 35 when the Chevy Monte Carlo that he was driving hit a mini-van that was waiting at the traffic light at the Guadalupe River turnaround. After hitting the van, he proceeded to drive through the grassy median and run into the concrete barrier dividing Bus. 35 from I-35. While the driver and passenger of the van were uninjured, the 34-year-old man driving the Monte Carlo was airlifted to a local hospital in critical condition. As of March 8, it was unclear what caused the accident.
